This past weekend, we hit the pavement at the annual Seaside Fiesta on Flagler Avenue to capture the pulse of this beloved New Smyrna Beach tradition.
The two-part celebration kicked off on Thursday evening with the 36th Annual Seaside Fiesta Block Party, transforming the street into a pedestrian-friendly zone. We saw firsthand the enticing aromas of local cuisine, the vibrant colors of artisan crafts, and the lively sounds of music and entertainment that filled the air. Locals and tourists alike were enjoying the festive atmosphere, sampling the diverse flavors from competing restaurants vying for the “Best on the Beach” award.

As we moved through the crowd, we caught snippets of conversations about favorite dishes, unique finds at craft booths, and the joy of simply being together as a community. The energy was infectious, and it was clear that this event was more than just a party – it was a celebration of summer, of community, and of all that makes New Smyrna Beach special.
The celebration continued with the 13th Annual Seaside Fiesta Music Festival, where over 40 free shows took place across various restaurants and bars. The air was filled with diverse musical genres, showcasing the abundance of local talent. From the smiles on people’s faces to the rhythmic tapping of feet, it was evident that the music was resonating with everyone on the street.
